What's On

Things to do in San Antonio, happening here

108 Blue Star brings artists, musicians, chefs, performers and cultural partners together for public programs throughout the year. Some nights are ticketed. Some are free. Some happen once; others are part of an ongoing series.

108 Blue Star

A good room can hold almost anything. A better one gives people a reason to come back. 108 Blue Star is built around that idea — a room where private events help sustain the public program, and the public program gives the room its character.

Programming
Live Music
Intimate performances built for the scale of the room — close enough to feel connected, with space for artists and audiences to meet somewhere between a club and a concert hall.
Chef Dinners
Guest chefs, shared tables and limited-seat dinners where the menu is part of the story. A reason to gather around food — and stay awhile.
Talks + Pláticas
Artist conversations, readings, panels, spoken word and bilingual pláticas designed for exchange rather than presentation from a distance.
Curated Markets — Coming Soon
A small number of juried markets each year, shaped around strong makers, thoughtful selection and a reason to come beyond simply shopping another vendor row.

Private Events
Weddings + Celebrations

A flexible Southtown setting for weddings, milestone celebrations and gatherings that deserve more personality than a traditional ballroom.
Corporate + Brand Events

Meetings, launches, dinners, offsites and experiences with room to think beyond tables, screens and a standard hotel setup.

Our story

A room with a long memory — and a new chapter. The name is new. The address is not.

The building at 108 Blue Star has spent decades making room for creative work. Its history stretches from its industrial beginnings with Pittsburgh Plate Glass to the years when Jump-Start Performance Co. made the space a home for experimental theatre and performance, and later to its life as Brick at Blue Star.
108 Blue Star carries that history forward without trying to recreate what came before. The next chapter is built around a simple idea: keep the room active, useful and connected to the cultural life around it. Public programming gives people reasons to return. Private events help sustain that work.
